Q: How quickly can you develop the colour?
A: For most of the colours, we can do it while you wait in our office.
It largely depends upon the colour accuracy required.
For accurate matching of unique colour, maxium time we take is 3 working days.
|
|
Q: What colouring method do you recommend?
A:
Depends upon the application. Following are some rough guidelines:

1) If polymer to be processed is less than 2 MT, Dry Colours are
recommended for

Olefinic Polymers in Injection Moulding

2) For Blow Moulding and Extrusion, Colour Masterbatches are
recommended. For

Styrenics and Engineering Plastics, Colour Masterbatches are more suitable.Even

for Olefinic Polymers where quantities are greater than 2 MT, MB
is recommended.

3) Liquid Colours are recommended where Fast Moulding Cycle poses
problem of dispersion

with other conventional colouring methods.

4) Mass Colouration or Pre-Coloured Resins are offered in rare cases
of difficult

to colour engineering plastics.
|
Q: Can I combine several effects in one MB?
A: You can not only combine special effects but also any property
enhancer or additive as you
 p
may require.E.g. you may order for a Red Colour in Pearl Effect with
UV Stabilizer and Anti-oxident.
|
Q: Are the colours you supply light fast?
A: Nobody can guarantee that the colours will never fade. However, if
you inform us that you
reqiure maximum light-fastness, we will select the colourants in such
a way that it will have
maximum light-fastness.
We can incorporate UV Lgitht Stabilizer in the Masterbatch OR use
colours
with high inherent
light fastness OR both.
|
Q: What happenes when you can not achieve the right colour?
A: If we can not achieve the right colour in our lab, we will come on
your site and match it for you.
|
Q: What is a wetting agent?
A: To make the dry colouring process easier and to keep the
environment clean, we offer this
light
mineral oil which can be distibuted on the surface of the
polymer prior to addiing dry colour.
This improves adhesion of pigments on the surface of the polymer
resulting in lower dusting and
better dispersion.
|
Q: What are the minimum quantities I can buy?
A: 1 Kg. for stock colours MB, Pigments and Liquid Colours.
25 Kg. for Custom Colours
(upon payment of SOS)
100 Kg, for Custom Colours (At competitive prices)
1000 Kg. for
Pre-Coloured Resin
